The Pudding Room was set up properly, in 2007, through a passion for nice Desserts and Puddings. So often a meal can be spoilt by the ‘end bit’, when it should be, a complement, a perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
Because of my earlier training working with a Swiss Pattisereur, I was always happy to make Desserts or Puddings, for friends and family.
My decision to make puddings in foil containers, came after the approach from ‘Made in Cumbria’ to take part in the television programme QVC, promoting Lake District Speciality Foods. This proved to be a very successful project for me and I continued with the foil wrapped puddings after QVC, adding more flavours to the range.
I make all the puddings in my small home Bakery, using the best ingredients, many of which are locally sourced. I use free range eggs and the best Belgian Chocolate with a 70% cocoa content.
The quality is carried through to the packaging where, the foil protected puddings are carefully wrapped in brown paper and tied with raffia, attractive to look at and nice to send as a gift.
